Flight 93 Pin

On Sunday, February 10, 2008, at 7 a.m. (on 102.5 FM, 104.7 FM, 94.5 FM and 105.9 FM) President/Chief Brad Cramer and Chaplain/Patrolman Tony Novak, both of the FOP Lodge 98, were featured on Pittsburgh Sunday radio show on 102.5 WDVE. Pittsburgh Sunday is hosted by WDVE personality Sean McDowell and was simulcast on all 6 Clear Channel radio stations in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Chief Cramer (Ret.) and Officer Novak have been determined to increase public awareness of the financial needs for the construction of the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

We’ve recently launched the 40 Cents or 40 Dollars Campaign, which is asking for donations of either 40 cents or 40 dollars, of which 100% of the proceeds will go to the Flight 93 National Memorial Fund.  FOP Lodge 98 Officer Tony Novak, along with college student Allie Hickman (Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA), have designed a Flight 93 flag pin to be given as a gift for all donations received in the 40 Cents or 40 Dollars Campaign.  Persons wishing to obtain a pin can do so by making a 40 Cents OR 40 Dollars donation to the Flight 93 National Memorial Fund.  The “40” represents the 33 passengers and 7 crew members that were innocently killed by terrorists on the United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001.  We (FOP Lodge 98) do not want to discourage anyone who might not be able to donate 40 dollars, and since our intentions are to encourage individuals to donate, we will also accept a 40 cent donation!

For more information on the Flight 93 National Memorial, please visit www.honorflight93.org/

Please make ALL checks/money orders payable to: Flight 93 National Memorial, also make a note in the memo: Flight 93 Flag Pin.

Attention: Officer Tony Novak

Please allow 4-6 weeks for the delivery of your unique Flight 93 flag pin, as once the FOP receives your donation we will deliver your check to the Flight 93 National Memorial Foundation in Somerset, PA and then the FOP Lodge 98 will send you the pin to proudly display on your jacket/coat, uniform, hat or for keep sake!

Note: Your donation, or any part thereof does not benefit FOP Lodge #98. We only serve as a clearinghouse for the donations so that we can determine who are the recipients of the limited edition Flight 93 pins. Flight 93 pins will be sent to all eligible recipients as long as our supply lasts. FOP Lodge#98 is not directly involved in the planning, consultation, or construction of the National Flight 93 Memorial.
